“There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”-- Unknown |
| Progress & Possibilities 2010 Members' Choice: Voting Has Begun |
For the first time, IPCA members have the opportunity to view all the entries and not just the finalists. You are also invited to vote on-line for your favorite entry at each experience level (Beginning, Intermediate, Professional) in each of three categories: Art Jewelry, Functional Objects, and Sculptural Objects. We hope you'll enjoy seeing the outstanding work of our members and find inspiration in our community's achievements. Voting is now open on the Members Only portion of our website, e-mail instructions will be sent to you today (May 28). English, French, Spanish, and German language versions are available. Members' Choice voting will end Monday, June 13. The invited jurors for Progress & Possibilities 2010 are polymer clay artists Dayle Doroshow and Sue Heaser, textile artist Mary Sullivan Holdgrafer, and glass artist and Executive Director of the Arrowmont Art School David Willard. These distinguished jurors are completing their scoring now. Their selections for First, Second, and Third place winners at each level of each category, as well as Best in Show, will be announced along with the Members' Choice favorites as soon as the scores have been tabulated. You can expect announcements by the end of June. Thanks to everyone who submitted art to Progress & Possibilities 2010 and to all of you who will participate in evaluating the work of our peers.
