The applications are in, the jurying is done, and the final three artists for the NPCG booth at the ACRE show in Las Vegas have been selected. The artists who will be attending ACRE, representing the possibilities of polymer clay and taking orders for their work are: Lauren Abrams, Pat Bolgar and Barbara Fajardo. All the artists who applied should be applauded for taking a chance, and working to move their work out into the market. This program is indeed moving polymer clay in an exciting direction as evidenced by the success of last years artists. Sandra, Meisha and Lindly have all agreed to take the knowledge and experience of participating is last year's show to help mentor this years winners.
Anyone considering entering the wholesale market might want to learn more about it through the Visiting Artist program at the Buyer's Market of American Craft, held in February and August, each year, in Philadelphia. Or find out if the Arts Business Institute is holding a seminar in your area. Also see Judy Dunn's blog for some great suggestions on getting into the market. All of these are great ways to learn about more opportunities for getting your work out into the marketplace. is also a wonderful resource for information. |
