  2. Figurative sculpture - including human, fantasy, animal figures, and masks

  9. Mixed media - including journals, fabric arts and other work not falling into other categories

Selections by Jury

Selection will be by jurors Carol Duvall, Barbara McGuire, and Elise Winters . The jury will view digital images with an identifying number, but no names. Each piece will be scored on:

  • Overall artistic merit
  • Originality of idea
  • Workmanship
  • Difficulty of execution.

The five highest scoring works of art in each category will be accepted into the exhibit. The three highest scoring works in each category will also be awarded First, Second and Third, with the highest scoring piece overall named Best of Show. For educational purposes, artists will receive a compilation of their scores in each area judged to assist them in entrance to other competitions.

Submissions

Artists may submit up to three entries with two digital images each (overall view and detail shot) on a CD. CDs must be received by April 1, 2007. Each image must be at least 300 dpi resolution, minimum size approximately 5" x 7" and in TIFF or high-resolution JPEG format. CDs with more than three entries, more than two images per entry, incorrect resolution or format or arriving past the submission deadline will not be reviewed.
