With all the excitement of the IPCA retreat, preparing for Synergy2, and a host of other projects and events, we almost forgot that this is the time of year we prepare to say good-bye regretfully to retiring board members and welcome new faces and new ideas!
We're calling on our energetic, enthusiastic membership, with such varied talents and life skills, to take an active role in shaping the future of the International Polymer Clay Association by serving on our board.
The four board positions slated for election this year are listed below. A comprehensive summary of job descriptions and expectations can be found for each of these under the FAQ section of this website.
I am working on compiling a word
list of useful polymer clay / mixed-media terms. My idea is to have as many
different terms and languages as possible. If you are interested in helping
compile this list or input your own language then please let me know. Once
produced the multi-lingual sheet will be made available for all to use.
The next meeting of the Pioneer Valley Polymer Clay Guild will meet Saturday, May 23, from 1 to 3 at 22 Lessey St. Amherst, MA. This will be a Clay Day where everyone brings their own thing to work on. Peg will also show work she did at Lindly Haunani's workshop. It was fabulous!!
This is a very important meeting as we will try to make a decision as to whether we move to East Longmeadow or not. If not, we need to put on a drive to get new members. Your input is very important to the continuance of our guild.
