Progress & Possibilities 2010: A Truly International Exhibition Print E-mail

bluemarble.jpgWe take special pride in the growing participation of artists from outside North America in only the first two years of our official international status! Before 2009 the IPCA was the National Polymer Clay Guild (NPCG), a primarily U.S. organization that did, however, have some members from other countries.

At the suggestion of one of our members, we have compiled the following alphabetical list of all the winners in Progress & Possibilities 2010 , including the Members' Choice competition, showing the categories of their entries and their country of residence:

Judging Progress and Possibilities Print E-mail

I was honoured to be asked to be a judge in this year's competition and found it a fascinating and rewarding process. The quality of the entries was fabulous and I so enjoyed seeing such a wonderful range of talent and ideas.

But what initially jumped out at me when viewing all the entries for the first time was the many wonderful fresh new creations that came from people who have only just started working in polymer clay. Progress & Possibilities 2010 Members' Choice: Voting Has Begun Print E-mail

17238small.jpgOnce again, the Progress and Possibilities juried exhibition showcases the remarkable talents and skills of our members and the amazing versatility of our medium. This year's 119 entries came from artists in 11 countries, and they're just stunning! This is an exhibition we can truly proud of--one that demonstrates (as the exhibition title implies) how far our medium has advanced and points the direction in which it may continue to evolve.

For the first time, IPCA members have the opportunity to view all the entries and not just the finalists. You are also invited to vote on-line for your favorite entry at each experience level (Beginning, Intermediate, Professional) in each of three categories: Art Jewelry, Functional Objects, and Sculptural Objects. We hope you'll enjoy seeing the outstanding work of our members and find inspiration in our community's achievements.
